Kicking off the summer festival season!

Summer's here, and that means bluegrass festivals. Bluegrass from the Forest Festival in May was a great time this year! We were thrilled to be a part of it - check out some great videos from our sets on Friday night and Sunday afternoon!

Lots of summer bluegrass lies ahead!

FRIDAY JUNE 21st and SATURDAY JUNE 22nd - Goldendale Fiddlin Under the Stars Festival, Goldendale WA, $5 single day/$10 weekend.

SATURDAY JUNE 29th - June Jubilee and Artisan Expo, Olympia WA, 11:30am-1pm, free. As proud residents of West Olympia, the Oly Mountain Boys are really pleased to support the first official event of the West Central Park Project, which aims to create a community space on a long-vacant property at the heart of West Olympia. There will be lots going on, so make sure to make this part of your Saturday in Olympia!

SUNDAY JUNE 30th - Panorama City Concert in McGandy Park, Lacey WA, 2pm, free.

SATURDAY JULY 6th - South Bay BBQ (the Pig Bar), Olympia WA, 8pm, free. Fourth of July weekend, bluegrass and BBQ style!

SUNDAY JULY 14th - Benefit BBQ for Heartstrides Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship, Olympia WA, 11:30am, $20 adult/$15 children.

FRIDAY JULY 26th - Steamboat Bluegrass Festival, Prosperity Grange, Steamboat Island WA, 5pm, $5. What do you do when you have a critical mass of bluegrass bands in the same place at the same time? Found a bluegrass festival! We're excited to get in on the ground floor of the first annual Steamboat Bluegrass Festival, and to reunite with our pals Windy Hill from San Francisco, who played our CD release show for Through the Sky! Olympia's Pine Hearts and Rooster Crow round out the bill, and it's all a benefit for the South Sound Estuary Association.

P.S. In case you haven't heard, McMenamin's Spar Cafe has decided to no longer host music, so our regular Thursdays there have come to an end. Thanks to all of those who came out, and make sure to thank them for supporting local music in Olympia the last few years the next time you stop by.
